Hello my valued watchers!  A few may be wondering when the next video for YouTube may come out.  I was hoping that to be today, but due to camera issues, it has been delayed.  I am working on another drawing that I think will be enjoyable for the Storytime Art as well which I plan on having at least once a month, and some tips of role playing in the Old Style will be coming out as soon as I get a couple things squared away for company coming in a couple of weeks.  What do you think?  Should I add some pictures in for my cake decorating as well?  Please let me know in the comments since I have to make three of them in about two or three days.

Good news, I've got a several images about ready to be posted up.  For those that don't know me, I'm a bit of a night owl so a lot of my art gets done at night when everyone else is in bed.  It makes it so much easier to get more done for me.

Thank you, it's appreciated.  There's a reason behind the name.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you (year and a half, wow, I have been busy).  I had a couple moves and a ton of projects that I was getting done.  However here is the answer to your questions of how long it took and what pencils were used on the drawing "If Vegeta Were Real?".  That drawing took me about three days to do, and the pencils used were as follows:

Mechanical 0.5 mm for the basic layout, lightly sketched and for the very fine details
4H - For going over the mechanical once it was done and starting in on basic shading
HB - For the medium shading and gradual blending from light to dark
2B and 4B - This is for the darkening of the darker shading upon the face and neck in to gradual darkening where needed
8B - for the really dark areas.  This was gone over several times with pencil and blender stick.

The blender stick is a tightly rolled up paper stick that you can get at Wal-Mart or any other place that has art supplies.  In a pinch you can use a piece of paper rolled up as tight as you can get it with the tip pointed at one end for more precise blending.  I use the blender stick frequently to get the much smoother look.  Keep in mind that the more you use the blender stick the more graphite it picks up.  Eventually you can use it to shade in unshaded areas.

I don't use expensive art materials for mostly one reason, I don't have the money to spend on really expensive drawing supplies.  So everything there you can get at about any place you can get art supplies.

I thank you for the time you took to comment and appreciate the questions.  Next time I won't be so long to respond.  Anyway, I hope this helps.
If Vegeta Were Real?
Sorry this took so long, ended up moving twice and was working on several projects.  Vegeta's hair was actually shown in Dragon Ball Z when he was taking a shower in the show where Vegeta got the pink shirt from Bulma.  It was a rather humorous episode.  You get a brief glimpse of it down and it went to about the lower part of his shoulders blades.  It was a brief glimpse. Another thing to consider is that when you look at Vegeta's side profile the hair does go not only up but back too, like that of a candle flame.  So laying that down, I had to take into consideration the brief reference in the show, plus the actual length of the hair.  Yes, that's right, a bit of math and observation were used to get that particular look which is not gained really anywhere else.

I do agree with you though, I think they should depict it again for a longer period as water does weigh down hair.  I appreciate the thoughtful comment given.  If you go to Google and type in "Vegeta Shower" you should see the image of which I speak of, or go to season 4 right when Vegeta comes back to earth, you will see my reference point there.
